Online Book Question

Keep it civil please...If you think I'm talking about you,I am not as I have seen this secenario accounted for both ways and I am wondering which is correct?

Thanks

I have only bet thru a bookie so was curious as I see this done both ways.

I will use examples

I make a 100 dollar bet on whatever game at let's say -110..Bet has been played

For whatever reason,I want to change the amount of money either up or down. How does this work?

If I want to increase the bet by 100 then is it just making a second bet for 100 at -110 or can you just increase the original bet to 200 because the game hasn't gone off yet?

If I want to change the game downward to say 50,can I change the original bet to 50 or do I buy back the bet therefore losing the juice and then just rebet for 50?

Thanks

If I am understanding the question - I believe this to be right.

To bet the opposite you have to bet the other side and lose the juice.

To bet more on the game - you just bet more like another bet (most books)

So you bet 100/110 on bet #1
Then you bet again 200/220 on bet #2
For a total of 300/330 on the game

Not quite....hmmmm

I want to bet on the same team that I made my original wager on just increase or decrease that ORIGINAL bet later on in the day before the game goes off.

Can I just increase/decrease that original bet without making another wager?

EX...

Bet #1 100 @ -110

changed my mind so can I just go back into the original bet and change the amount.

I guess it would apply more if I decrease the original play as I'm guessing that you would have to buy back your earlier bet.

Original 100 @-110 by back = -10 bucks

then rebet for 50 bucks

I'm getting confused now

Tried to say this in post 2. I guess this is the very simple bottom line version and would have been better off just saying this.

GL guys
