Online Gambling Bill!

The letter below is what I sent my Senator. Have you guys sent yours? I am told is it close whether Senate will look at and we can win with everyone's help. Guys it takes like 5 minutes, tops. Here is the link to use. We are all in the same boat. Please take a minute and write your local Senator.....thank you. Is 5 minutes below worth all the entertainment and fun we get from gambling? Use my words below, use your own words, it does not matter. What matters is making your voice heard. We need to fight this.

The House's new law against Internet gambling is akin to alcohol prohibition. It is wholly unenforceable and 10's of millions of people will break the law.
Don't outlaw it. Figure out how to legitimize it and tax it. ALL OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES have done it, including Australia, England, the Netherlands, etc., etc. The government can't stop gamblers from gambling, but it can stop the bleeding of taxes flowing to other countries.
Gambling as a business is bigger than the automobile, movie, and music businesses, COMBINED. Please learn how to monitor it and make it safe for customers - and TAX it.
For God's sake, get realistic.

Nobody has responded?! Has anyone written? Are you kidding me? I mean it takes 5 minutes. You all are watched and talked and talked and talked about the ridiculous bill but now you do nothing? Everybody here wants to gamble and believes the bill is nonsense....I do not understand. You were all mad the other day but God forbid you take 3 minutes to help the cause.

John - My guess is many people have written their senators and not neccesarily posted that in here. But I do agree that people should not assume that enough others will do it. Everyone should, it can only help.

I Sent My Letters! Also I Would Like Some Input From The Members. I Have Funds In Several Books And Neteller. Are You Waiting For The Senate's Move Or Are You Removing Your Bankroll In Part Or Full From The Books And From Neteller And Etc. At This Time.

I Believe Nothing Will Come Of This Because The Senate Will Not Act.

just Curious... Give Your Input.

I have used your link to express my opinion to my Senator. Thanks we should all do this if we want to keep this a free America. How in the world do these YAHOO'S justify state lotteries and horse racing and Casino's in just about every state and than tell you can not bet on line on sports or Casino games. What a bunch of Bull.

Your choice but I am leaving it in. They CANNOT stop it. They can make it harder and change a few things...but no way can they stop gambling or money flow. Just leave it and do not panic. But again your choice.

The rest of you people it makes a difference. Please use the link and send a short note to your Senator.... send my words, or your words or any words. But we all need you to send. THanks.

Federal Express and Western Union still exist.

And I highly doubt Neteller is going anywhere. You can use them to make payments at plenty of non-gambling sites as well.

Actually, this is probably the only thing they can stop. They can make your bank stop paying and accepting payments from offshore books.

Daniel Negreanu says

" if the gov't was smart,
it would simply legalize and run poker,
and why wouldn't they?
It boggles my mind ..."
