Online Gambling - Speculation rules!

I posted this small article I did for someone in another thread but will post again here.

Online Gambling - Speculation rules!

By Dr. Jack, CappersMall.com on February 01,2007

People have always liked to wager on sports and many other gambling activities way before I was born. There have been so many twists and turns in the online gambling industry over the last 6 months that if your head is not spinning you might not be normal. With that being said, poker and sports wagering have not stopped nor will they ever stop.

The war on internet gambling has caused one thing for sure and that is panic. Some of it is legitimate, some not. Veterans of the industry do not panic as much as the newbies but panic is widespread.

Most of the panic is caused by speculation. Sure we all get some stories right and there is a bit of comfort felt by the gambler when you read a positive article about the industry or gambling in general. On the other side is what causes so much panic and that is all of the speculation. You can not go a day or even hours sometimes with a new article or post in a message board about how the sky is falling and online gambling is finished.

People in life are generally pessimistic and skeptical. Being postive or overly optimistic is a rare breed in this day and time.

To many people are speaking or writing as though what they say is gospel and/or facts when in reality most of it is specualtion from something they heard or saw printed.

You know when you were younger you would play that game of telling something to someone and they would pass it on to the next person. That person would then pass it on to the next person, etc. By the end of the line you had a complete different story of how the story began. This is what is happening along the gambling inner circles of message boards and chat rooms all across the internet.

I am guilty of it too, we all are to a degree. Everyone wants to know something first and everyone wants to break the story. At the end of the day we are all in this together and we should be working together to find solutions to the problems.

After the Super Bowl the speculation based around few facts will only get worse. I think most are expecting for another panic session before things start getting back to normal. A great place to start is a little more facts and a lot less speculating.
