online trading company ?

can anyone offer me advise on a good online company to deal with online.looking for low fews and low or no charges for inactivity. i use to deal with e-trade years ago, but got sick of the maintenance fees they charged for stocks i was holding onto for the long haul. since there isnt any football i will make a few moves in the off season .but i go inactive for periods of time.
thanks for any advise on getting atarted again

Scottrade has been great for me. No fees, $7 trades and plenty of tools to work with.
