An open letter to the Feds

You guys and gals who have been asked to participate in the government's assault on Internet poker and sports betting are helping to screw over millions of your fellow citizens. Some folks put their dough in the stock market and others prefer shorter term investments such as a hand of poker or a bet on a game. Truthfully I'll take my chances with the David Carruthers of the world sooner than with Ken Lay and Michael Milken. So talk to your higher ups and tell 'em you'd like to do something more worthy for your country than harrasing your fellow citizens.

I have had to kiss goodbye money I had in my account with betonsports along with thousands of others. I had my money frozen at wwts and like lots of others got my fingers crossed my government will lighten up. I'm retired and enjoy the give and take of sports handicapping and it keeps my mind active. You guys are messing with what is supposed to be a gracious time in a man's life.

I've hung around sportsbooks a bit and the aging Damon Runyan characters you find is a picture lacking the poetry our souls need through life. Moving to Nevada isn't all that attractive an option but if I do it would probably be Reno. Not the glamour of Las Vegas but at my stage of life some of that allure has diminished and the town is just too big.
