Outlook Express help?

I use outlook express for my emails....While deleting my files to clean my computer up,I accidently deleted my connection to this.

Where the hell do I find the settings on my puter so I can fix this

I think I just deleted the password...can't find where to put it back in

Click on tools in your email. Click on accounts. Click on properties then click on servers. You should be able to put your email name and password back in. I hope this helps if i understood you right.

BP - I am not sure exactly. Is there a repair and fix in Express? I only use Outlook so I am not sure. I do have Express so I will try and take a look if you don't figure it out!

Hope some of our PC Experts (Gouda & others) will help us out here.

Your welcome big pimpin. Thats about all i know what to do. If you have tech. support for your email give them a call. I have it here through my internet connection which is a cable company and it has come in very handy at times. Good Luck!

This is usually caused by a 'closed port', seeing is that if Norton Internet Security is running then it needs to either be shutdown or adjusted to open that port. The easiest is to just shutdown or disable Norton Internet Security.
Other possibilities would be...
-the 'timeout' is set to low. Open Outlook Express, go to tools, options, connections tab, increase the timeout to approximately 5 or 10 minutes.
-'Hangup after...' may be marked. Open Outlook Express, go to tools, options, connections tab, remove the check mark from 'Hangup after sending and recieving'.

Do you have the outgoing mail the same as the incoming mail? if not make the outgoing the same as the incoming and see if the works.
