Overtime Insurance

I have always been befuddled why books dont offer OT insurance to players playing dogs and unders for a few extra cents on the dollar.

Say 5% of NBA games go to overtime...why wouldnt the book offer insurance in the form if a regulation wager for say 10 cents on the dollar.

They can even do this for 2h wagers as well.

This can work like peace of mind for players who say they refuse to get beat by hooks and buy all halfs for an extra dime where some will say buying pts is a waste of money.

I know I would consider it when playing smaller dogs and unders because quite frankly I am paranoid of OT.....Im sure books can offer it and make money off of it and players can also have it in their bag of tricks.

Why hasnt anyone stepped up and done this? What are possible drawbacks that I might not be considering.....thx

PEACE

Some UK books offer betting options on with or without OT. Then you have others like ladbrokes who actually offer betting on the game going to OT usually around +1300.
Not sure if they are open to US clients or not though.

Playing favs and overs obviously one would always include OT unless they got a better payout without it.......do you have a general idea in the difference in price when playing a dog or under for regulation only?

sporting bet uk and betclic are the only two I see with OT options up and its in the form of a halftime fulltime double.....for eg. on the bulls/wizards they have draw ht and ft 150-1.....wash ht draw ft 25-1.....chic ht draw ft 22-1.

In the past used to be alot more options with the UK books in terms of OT.
