Party Poker Monster Series Cancelled

All the promo for this has been removed from the Party Poker lobby.

Quote:
Total value for each unused freeroll:

Weekly: $12.50 + $31.25 + $56.27 = $100.02

Monthly: $125+$$225.09 = $350.09

Grand Final: = $1,800.72
So if you have qualified you have to cash in your tickets.

Guys I'm really sorry you have to put up with all of this shit from a 2 bit bill that really is making the US a laughing stock.

It sickens me that a country that I personally admired is treating its people in this way, all over the mighty dollar, because everyone in the UK believes that that is what is the real issue.

(Jack/mods apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but I thought you'd like to know)

Truthfully I've heard nothing, but the other betting forum I'm a member of is made up of mainly Europeans/UK residents so aren't directly affected.

Most of the talk/gossip is mostly speculation about whether this action will move across the pond and affect us. Along with that there is the obvious speculation about why the bill was passed in the first place.

Personally I think that the US Government is pissed that they can't tax the hell out of the companies such as the ones 'criminalised'. The more cynical choose to just laugh at 'the land of the free' (not I hasten to add the individuals affected).

Just to add....

It appears as though Party could well be 'hiding' $10 million from participants.

It is compensating players who have already qualified for the Final to the tune of $1800 (8000 * $14,405,786 Prize Pool).

However only 2000 have qualified so each player should really be paid $7,200.

As it stands there are 6000 lots of $1800 that won't be paid out to anyone ($10,800,000).

Unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, land of the free. More like 'land of corruption'. I'm moving to Canada or England!
