Probably has dual citizenship...I don't know for sure. But his parents were Austrailian, and Mel and his family moved back to Austrailia and he lived there for probably 30 or 40 years. He started in Austrailian theater, tv, and movies. So, basically Austrailian, just technically born in the US.
