Penn State and a Catholic Priests
So I understand that Joe's assistant is a smuck but why does Joe lose his job? You don't see Bishops and the Pope being fired for Priest wrong doing so why Joe? Is this a double standard because it sure seems to be. I say hang the guy that molested the children but why Joe. I don't have all the info they do but it seems the school was quick to fire a living legend. I mean Penn State wouldn't even be Penn State if it wasn't for Joe Pa.

Reason is......some people here and the trustees feel JoePA should have done MooooRE..........truthfully, its BS........he told his superiors and they did nothing!!! And to make matters worse....there was the DA murder back in 2005
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/09/sp...&smid=fb-share Now there is a rumor being investigated and a journalist out in Beaver County wrote about this 6 months ago that Sandusky was "Pimping" the boys to Rich Donor's!! Next....the racial makeup is going to be released and another shit storm is gonna start. The worse is yet to come |

Cmon steel. Read. Sorry, try and read thru the grand jury report. I will grant you this, this is a good chance that even if mccreary reported it directly to the police, we maybe talking about another coverup

Joepa at THE VERY LEAST knew sandusky fondled and did something "of sexual nature" with a ten yr old boy in the shower yet still let him come around after that
If you think Joe should keep his job after that then youre just an idiot, period and theres a lot more than that too. Amazed at the how people think Joe got a raw deal, I mean its just pure idiocy. Anyone who thinks JOePa should stay hasnt read the grand jury report. Its ****ing dispicable what that scumbag Paterno did Last edited by ILikeToParty; 11-10-2011 at 05:45 PM. |

One question (and im pretty much assuming you dont have kids by your opinion on this but play along)
If you knew someone had "fondled and done stuff of sexual nature" with a ten yr old boy would you ever ever ever ever let that man around your kids again? HELL NO!!!! Yet Paterno did, over and over and over Thats a scumbag, regardless of how far your nose is up his ass cus he's a legendary football coach |

lets put it this way plain and simple...if joepa's grandkids were the victims, do you think sandusky would be walking around for so long? if you can honestly say to yourself no, then joepa didnt do enough and is responsible whether how indirectly you think he is..

Barry Switzer said it best.
"Mc Creary knew for 13 yaers and in a small community, like the coaching staff, noone else knew? He never said anything to his wife? or another coach? " Switz said [B]"THEY ALL KNEW"B] Most of you youngsters probably don't know, but Switzers bast friend was also his Assistant Head coach at Oklahome, and he, Switz, was banging the Assistants wife. He knows about "secrets" LOL |

Sandusky retired the next year, in 1999. He was 55, prime age for a coach. Odd, to say the least - especially with Joe Paterno thought even then to be ready to quit and Sandusky a likely, openly-discussed successor. It seems logical to ask: What did Paterno know, and when did he know it? What did Penn State's administration know, and when did they know it? Best-case scenario: Charges are never brought, and Sandusky walks away with his reputation permanently scarred. The rumors, the jokes, the sideways glances - they won't ever stop. Paterno and Penn State do the great escape. Worst-case scenario: Sandusky is charged. Then it seems reasonable to wonder: Did Penn State not make an issue of Sandusky's alleged behavior in 1998 in exchange for him walking away from the program at an age premature for most coaches? Did Penn State's considerable influence help get Sandusky off the hook? Don't kid yourself. That could happen. Don't underestimate the power of Paterno and Penn State in central Pennsylvania when it comes to politicians, the police and the media. In 1999, Penn State was rid of Sandusky. His rep was unblemished, which allowed him to continue running a charitable foundation that gave him access to underage males. To be a volunteer assistant with a high school football team, thus gaining access to underage males. If Paterno and Penn State knew, but didn't act, instead facilitating Sandusky's untroubled retirement - are Paterno and Penn State responsible for untoward acts since committed by Sandusky? This is far from an outrageous hypothesis, especially given the convenient timeline. Initially accused in 1998. Retires in 1999. Never coaches college football again. Sandusky was very successful at what he did. The architect of Linebacker U. Helped win national championships in 1982 and 1986. Recognized as college football's top assistant in 1986 and 1999. Never any stories about Sandusky being pursued for a high-profile job. Never any rumors about him coming out of retirement. But there's no shortage of stories and rumors about Penn State football sweeping problems under the rug, is there? Why did college football let an accomplished coach like Sandusky walk away at 55? Why did he disappear into relative anonymity? A grand jury, spurred by a complaint made by a 15-year-old boy in 2009, has been investigating Sandusky for 18 months. Witnesses include Paterno and Penn State athletic director Tim Curley. Interviewing Paterno about a subject like this had to have been one of the single most uncomfortable acts in the history of jurisprudence. Plenty of questions remain yet unanswered. Potentially among them: What's more important, Penn State football or the welfare of a few kids? mark madden
