People who beg with you on the streets?

Havn't been a victim of crime recently. But the damn beggers are getting on my nerves.
When in the City I nearly always get approached "Hey man you got some coins"
"Do you have two dollars for the train"

Yes they are generally unhealthy desperate looking people, always male. While I'm never rude to them I don't ever give them money either.

What do you do?

Beggers actually make a good living

If I see someone who holds a sign "work for food", I may get a hamburger and McDonalds and give to him but I don't usually just give them money. It ads up to quick

It depends on how I'm feeling. Sometimes if I'm in a bad mood I blow them off and sometimes I give change or cash. When it's a cold and snowy night and they're out there freezing I give them a couple of bucks and tell them to go eat. What they do with it is their business.

I know a lot of people don't like to give these guys money because they figure the homeless person will go spend it on drugs or alcohol, which might be true. Now even though that isn't good for their health, I personally think it can only help ease their pain. A strong minded individual might actually save up the money and attempt to get back on their feet. Those who are too hooked on substances are already on a path of destruction. It's very sad. That's why I give sometimes. I feel better about myself. We in America live like ****ing kings. Even the people working at McDonalds and living in a trailor park. There are people over in Africa who would have their arm cut off to live like we do. We're so ****ing spoiled lol.

Would it bother you if you gave and you watched the guy go buy a beer or six pack?

There is a couple stories I could tell you guys but will stick with 1.

When I used to work at a bank as a teller, there was this homelss guy that was usually the 1st person in line when the bank opened. he would deposit at least $100 in coins/bills in the a.m. and then come back in before clsoe and deposit at least $50. I check his account once and he had close to $5K in it. Later on, I saw him on the street in the club/entertainment district. He had a dog, guitar and full on Napsack (sleeping bag etc). That noght I saw him he probably had $50 inb bills alone. Never gave him a dime after that.

I've literally seen a guy in Pittsburgh with a will work for food sign sitting right next to a McDonald's with a sign that said now hiring. Just no way I can give that guy money.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Walk past em like they aren't even there. In downtown Chicago you have AT LEAST 2 bums per block. If you hand out change to one of em you'd have to hand out change to all of em.
