Question The perfect bookie

Please list what your definition of a perfect bookie would be. Let's leave off names, etc but focus on what kind of things you think define a book as good or bad. What's important? What's not? What is a must? What would be nice? etc.

Actually to this date – there has NEVER been a law on the books which makes ONLINE gambling illegal. However this is a debate for another thread and if you wish to start that thread – I am sure it will get some heavy discussion

There has never been absolute codified law for many things Jack, you know that. Doesnt make it legal, just subject to interpretation.

anyway, you are correct- topic for another thread. My question is the same as Shark23, local, online, casino book...which one? sounds like you are talking about a local.

Pinn's always been my fav...reduced juice, early lines, fast grading, superfast payout, also free withdrawal per month whether netteller or check.

flexible lines...since many books differ by 1/2 to a point, an ideal bookie would allow me to take a side with a 1/2 point or even a 1 pt flex built in

i realize that is unreasonable to expect, but that would be perfect and is something i have access to with multiple accounts...but would be even better with one bookie

i.e. I see pinnacle shows a -3.....bodog shows a +4...i should be able to choose

Other than what people have already mentioned....

I always look for books that offer a HUGE range of sports, options and props.
The further you cast your net the greater your chances of catching something. That is one of the good things about Pinny.

For people outside the US the above is a common motivation for looking for a book/s.

Bottomline with me is honesty!

This may be a little "sidetracked" but...This is both good and can be very important if situations warrant the need.

I have 1 local who I use for march madness and the first half of baseball.

I never put more then $150 on one play and my normal unit was $50. I won I collected, I lost I paid--never more then a "G" at a time.

I havent talked to him in 4-5 months but if I called him right now and told him I need 10k cash in my hand immediately. I would have that cash as fast as I asked. For a small fee, but nonetheless...

If you play by the rules with them you have flexibility, that is something an online could never do. To me that boarderlines "bookie perfection"

You ought to be able to eat lunch with your book, hunt with your book, buy cars from your book. Settle when its +/- a dime either way.Get what you want when you need it and respect that person for what they do.Pay when you lose and you'll have no problem.

I have never had to email my personal and secure information ( checking acct info, credit card, etc ). Ive never had a problem understanding him on the phone. I've never had to wait on a wire transfer or fed-ex to get paid. And now your local and give you site access if you prefer 24 hr (7/11) service.

Dave Nz 's got it nailed though, the more opportunities that a book puts in front of a sharp player the more opportunities that person has to win.
