Let this serve as a warning to everyone in here. Life is very short. You never know when it will end, and how suddenly that can happen. Our prayers go out to the people of Japan.

10,000 dead and still counting. Had it been a Third World country with poor infrastructure they would have been wiped off the map.

Cant see how the number of dead doesnt reach 40,000-50,000. Whole coastal towns were simply washed away. Sad.

Fear is a large aftershock which could definitely be in the near future.

It's getting to look worse and worse. There was a second explosion at a nuclear power plant. Other damages keeps adding. Death toll keeps climbing. Unreal! Hollywood may not have done better in a movie.

Japanese are a noble people. Keeping their Face (their way of saying keeping their honor) in the face of unspeakable circumstances. No looting, no panic, no sense of entitlement. Just calm, dignity and a people rallying to help each other. Wish I could do more.

3rd explosion at the nuclear site and meltdowns now a grave likelihood.
