Poison rocker arrested on rape warrant
(March 28) - Rikki Rockett, the high-haired drummer for '80s glam metal group Poison, was arrested on a Mississippi rape warrant as he arrived at a Los Angeles airport on Monday following an overseas concert date, reports the LA Daily News.

The 46-year-old former hairdresser, born Richard Ream, was picked up as he was going through customs and then booked on a felony fugitive sexual assault warrant out of Neshoba County, Mississippi. He was held at the L.A. County Jail and later released, according to the Sherrif's office Web site.

The details of the warrant and the charges that Rockett may be facing have not yet been made public. The rocker's wherabouts are also unknown.

Rockett was returning from New Zealand, where Poison performed over the weekend at a rock festival. The band, formed in 1983, rode to fame during the Sunset Strip era of hair metal with hits "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Unskinny Bob" and "Nothing But a Good Time." The group also includes guitarist C.C. DeVille, bassist Bobby Dall and singer Bret Michaels, whose reality show "Rock of Love" is in its second season on VH1.

According to Stuff.co.nz, other acts at the rock event included Kiss, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake and Lordi.
