Police: Another Case For "World's Dumbest Criminal"

Police call it a case for a "World's Dumbest Criminals" show. More than a quarter million dollars worth of cocaine and marijuana are now off the street because of a taillight oversight.

Police pulled over a car on I-30 near Bryant Tuesday night and say they found seven kilos of cocaine and 16 pounds of marijuana. The reason for the stop; the suspect didn't have his lights on.

Detective Todd Crowson with the Bryant Police Department says this case falls into the stupid criminal file because the suspect was driving in the dark. "Look at the amount of cars that go up and down the interstate, and just to happen to get one that's running without any tail lights with this amount of drug is a lucky bust," he says.

The car has daytime running lights, so the headlights were on. But if you don't turn the switch, the tail lights stay dark.

The man is from Memphis, but police aren't releasing his name. He faces two felony drug charges.
