They are useless unless you make the votes public

That means check the box (makes votes public) when submitting a poll

I guess I wonder how many people use that as a tool when they make their selection in a certain game

My personal opinion is that polls, when used in moderation can be helpful to some people, but think lately the preponderance of polls is taking away from other worthwhile picks/posts

I have seen a HUGE upswing on polls recently and think it's diluting the Mall IMO, but if people get a benefit fromt them, than it's a necessary evil

The polls use to not bump when someone voted, only when they replied. Well it’s been this way for a while.

It’s hard to keep everyone happy, but I have considered making a sub forum in every regular sports forum for polls.

I don’t know. I personally occasionally find a lot of them to be annoying

If you created a sub-forum that woul dpretty much defeat the purpose. Half the people that vote wouldn't be going to another forum to do so.

Why do they annoy you ?

cuse just one suggestion, just make polls on a couple games you're interested in or the big time games..that way you will get more votes. it does look funky going into the forum and seeing all those colors, like stepping into skippy's bedroom or something..

I meant like the fantasy football section, not really a different forum area.

They are annoying because they clutter the forms and I can not tell that they serve any purpose. If the reults are public (which the vast majority are not) at least you could tell who has an opinion on which side. As it is, the polls are just annonymous threads with no meaning.

very annoyed at the amount now. One for thursday night games, Monday night football, or like Mr Who said....biggest game of the week that EVERYONE is curious about. I dont care about a poll for the over under on E Mich vs C Mich and neither does 95% of the mall.

i say subforum

I know this really isn't the question, but I love using ESPN's poll (Who will win) when the line is 3 or less - fade the pub and you win...

Don't mind the poll, but should stick to top matchups or weekday games.

My polls in Main Street are hands down the best

I'm also annoyed with polls, but let me ask you this, what's worse? the sickening amount of polls for games like Tulsa @ North Texas or the non-stop GOY, GOM, GOD posts.

I'm torn.

Your cowboys polls serve 0 purpose other than you wanting to bump them if the cowboys do something later in the season. Thats my opinion though
