Possibly Heading to Dallas Memorial Day weekend...

I try to catch an away series for the Redsox each year and since I have a 4 day weekend on Memorial day and the Sox are playing the Rangers it looks like my fiance and I will be doing a pre-wedding trip down there....

i know we have a few mall members that are in that area and I am curious as to where I should stay ( out near airport, ballpark, downtown Dallas), where we should go to hang out or eat dinner at...etc.....

suggestions are welcome as I will be booking our flights soon and want to get tickets and hotel reservations..

Thanks in advance

WCI

Hey Windy,

when i get to work in morning I'll throw out some ideas and places. It's usually a pretty fun weekend to be here, but I'll help out of I can.

yeah...I would say that that is mostly correct. Both of us love a good bar and can put back some drinks, but a hotel that is maybe walking distance/short drive distance to a bar/restaurant district would be ideal.

We will be renting a car so driving to and from the ball park is not a big deal at all.....

thanks in advance for your feedback

man there are so many different places to stay. of course arlington around the ballpark they have hotels and in that area there are a lot of chain restaraunts and such and of course 6 flags and hurricane harbor theme parks are right there as well. If you want to stay in dallas its about 20-30 min drive out to arlington as long as you beat the traffic. There area few different places you can stay in dallas. Uptown is probably the location with the trendiest places to eat and bars are at. There is tons of stuff to do, it all honestly just depends how you want to schedule around the games and stuff....

Worthington Hotel in downtown fort worth. Extremely nice hotel and Sundance Square is nicest downtown area with clubs and restaurants, bass hall, and less crime than any of the largest 20 cities in the US that I know of. Its a 20 minute drive to the Ballpark in Arlington, six flags, etc, its 15 minutes from the historic stockyards, lagrange fields(minor league bball which is also a blast)and about 40 minutes from Dallas. Also the Fort worth zoo is about 15 minutes away and it is a first class zoo that will take you all day to go through. Let me know when your coming and if your in cowtown I'll buy you a beer.

enjoy your vacation and welcome to Texas!
