Okay moving forward, I would like to come up with a criteria or a system of how this is selected each month.

Please give your thoughts on how the poster of the month can be selected each month. We've done Jan, Feb with me just picking them but would prefer a system

I am also looking for ideas for these awards

Capper of the Season

Thread of the Day (non picks thread)

To be fair. I would say Dr. Jack and the Moderators do the voting amongst themselves so there`s no favortism in the voting process.

i agree with Victor only because it would otherwise just be a popularity contest.

i think that for capper of the month, season; it should be required that nominees keep a record both W/L and units. Only those can be nominated. They dont have to have the highest # of units or even a winning record, since different players rate their wagers differently and have different values for their units; so it would come down to voting. I know some people dont have time or like to keep records, but its only fair IMO.

For thread of the day i think 1 day might be too short; i think it should be thread of the week? give it a little time to develop. many threads stay current over a few days and you can hardly find more than a couple of non-pick, non-lmao@ threads that are worth nominating daily.

POM
Have all members with over 500 posts make up to 3 nominations the first week of the month. Post the Top 10 vote getters nominated. Then have Dr Jack, the Mods and HOF'ers and previous POM winners vote the 2nd week. This gives averyone a hand in the process, allows a "perk" for the Mods, HOF'ers, POMs and will keep the voting from becoming a popularity contest among the members. Then announce the previous months winner in each months nominating thread. Just my 2 cents.
