Pot found in Port Charlotte toddler's lunch box

PORT CHARLOTTE - Port Charlotte preschool teachers were looking through a two-year-old student's lunch box for a snack and found drugs instead.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office says a teacher found plastic wrapper with a green leafy substance in the front zipper pouch on Thursday. The substance later tested positive for marijuana.

Authorities said the girl's parents are divorced and she had two lunch boxes, so they couldn't' immediately tell where the pot came from.

Why would the teachers even suspect that it was pot???

I'd be pissed if I was that two year old - my lunchbox is my personal property. Did they have a warrant to search the lunchbox? At least one of the parents will get the blame, but it's gotta be tough to find weed when you're two.

Whichever parent or adult that is responsible....charges (if any) should be thrown out due to illegal search.
