Professional or part time?

Is sports gambling your profession or is just a hobby/part-time thing? Me being a firefighter, it’s a part-time job/hobby for me on my two days off.

I was a full time player. Football and the Horses were the only sports that I really played seriously. I never played hoops (unless the "shave" was in), baseball, or any other sports. Last year was my last year of going at it full time. I did it for over 35 years. Now I just mess around with it. I have made my money. I can't complain. Now I stick to the ponies occasionally, my two consulting companies that I own, and playing poker. I'll play a small wager on a few football games (small by my standards) this year but that's about it.
