Proffesional sport handicappers

Well about one year ago, I started a thread about this. Can you really do this for a living? Well i have come to this conclusion, YES you can. If you use strict money management and can handicap winners it is possible. I started my Bankroll at 5,000 and with good money management I have been very succesfull. I will say only very few can do this though. It is a little more than a full-time job and i do it everyday. I never have more than 5 bets a day and i have made a small fortune. I just want to know is there any other proffesionals on here doing this. You don't win everyday and it is a grind. If it wasn't for the cappers mall, i'd be nothing .Thanks!!!

You said the most important thing that players who want to be successful must learn. "You don't win everyday and it is a grind." That is the entire key to winning. You must be in it for the long haul, and you are going to have losing days and weeks. You will eventually have a losing season. But you must look at it from a 15-20 year prospective, not a 1 to 5 year prospective. You also stated the importance of good money management, which is another critical part of being successful in this business. I did this for over 30 years. It is a business, not sports gambling, and not for entertainment purposes. I rarely went out of my way to watch a game I wagered on. If my team won, they won. If they lost, they lost. My staring at a TV would have nothing to do with the outcome. I also realized very early on that the only reason I lost a wager was because I wagered on the wrong team. That eliminated any excuses that could influence my next wager. Bad calls, freak injuries, and major changes in the weather are all part of the game, and consequently all part of the cost of wagering.

Basically, you wrote an excellent article. You are well on your way to being a successful sports player and should be congratulated. Keep up the good work and the good articles.

While I'm not even close to doing this full time. I enjoy reading all the posts on Cappersmall and looking over the games. I just enjoy watching college football myself, if I make some money, then so be it, if I loose some money, I still got a job to go to and still enjoy watching the games. Best of luck to everyone.

Preach on! My brother from another mother! I just started to give it a try. I can hardly say that I'm working full time at it yet (love lying by the pool in the Florida sun), But I'm working on it. Playing poker and NFL are my bread and butter, need much improvement in NBA and MLB capping, to make it a fulltime gig. Happy I came across the MALL, it will definitely help in this venture. I believe it's possible. The key is to accept that it's the ULTIMATE GRIND. There is a saying in poker " you don't play poker for a day, a week, a month or even a year, you play it for a lifetime". Got to see the bigger picture or as was said, the long haul. Then it can be determined if success was achieved. Hopefully, all those here, who are taking a crack at this even part time , can help each other. My success is your success, and visa versa. Good luck to all. KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

i think doing it full time would take the enjoyment out of it for me...i like having a job and then being able to do this as a hobby. Its why I look forward to the football season all year cuz its a great hobby to bet on and make a little side cash. I can't imagine doing it for a living...don't think i would like it at all
