Prop Question

At some books they offer the Prop:

Will either team score 3 straight times?
As far as I know, this means score 3 times while holding the opposing team scoreless.

Usually Yes is around -170 to -200 and No is about +150 to +180.

Does anyone have any opinion or info regarding this type of wager or experience in how to cap it? I was just in vegas this past weekend and the colts/pats game cashed for me very easily by betting No.

Did I get lucky or can you actually breakdown a prop like this?
Just curious, thanks.

You got lucky.

In order to cash that particular prop, the game must be a mismatch. One team has to completely dominate the game.....such as the bears in the early season.

If a game is competitive.....its is very very unlikely that 3 consecutive scores in the game will be from the same team.

To investigate further.....just go back and look at the scoring summaries from last Sunday.

Skip, you said he got lucky for betting “NO” on “Will either team score 3 straight times?” but then you go on to say that “In order to cash that particular prop, the game must be a mismatch. One team has to completely dominate the game.”

Make up your mind and quit trying to confuse yourself.

Skippy has to be one of the strangest posters of all time.

I am not confused at all.

It is very very unlikely that a team will score 3 times in a row in a competitive game.

Indy @ NE was a competitive game.

Therefore NO is the correct play.

He got lucky because Gostkowski made that 49 yd FG in the 3rd Q.

49 yarders are not a chip shot.

He got lucky.

Beeyoung what he is saying I think is that you made the correct pick.

But Ind would have scored 3 times in a row if not for the 49 yard fg. So you got lucky that he hit that long fg or else you would have lost your bet.
