PS3 and iPhone

I was thinking about getting myself both of these for myself for christmas. For people who have these two items, do you like them? Worth the money?

I have always owned a playstation since the PS1 days. I was wondering how people like the online play(ex.aying madden/NCAA)?

My buddy got the iphone when it first came out and had to exchange it twice. Once was a battery issue and the other I believe the screen went blank and that was that. It's been okay the last few months.

As far as the ps3, I still have the ps2 and xbox and have been wanting to get a nextgen console but so far it seems like there just isn't enough out for the ps3 to pick it up. I've always been a sony guy but it looks like the xbox360 is ahead so far. Just my opnion of course but I'm still waiting it out to see which games are going to be coming out.

No input on PS3 Nick but iphone is a must have. Greatest invention since the coffee maker. Haven't heard much about the next gen iphone but I can't think of too much upgrades. Maybe gps, more memory, more like a pc maybe. Only drawback with current iphone is that you can't use like a pc. ie:download applications, save files on the hard drive, etc. Still would highly recommend especially for today's internet gambler!

Oh yea..as for glitches, its like everything else. They make good ones and faulty ones. Luckilly, I bought a problem free one.

Thanks, Quadzilla and LMJ for your input also. I am just so torn on what to get. It seems like every cell phone that I buy turns out to be a piece of shit, and then when I buy a game system, there is something on another system that I want more.

I still have a couple of more weeks to research these items before I make a final decision. The internet use on the iPhone for gambling purposes seems to be a great feature that must not be overlooked. And it could be the death of me!!!

bob i think you can find better deals where you can get 10-15 free bluray movies with a brand new ps3..i think i saw that some place, just look around.

PS3 is starting to get to where it's supposed to. Buy yourself a copy of Call of Duty 4, Stuntman and you'll have a pretty good time.

The part that most don't know about is when you get a PS3, you get access to the Playstation store and they have loads of playable demos you can download --

so unlike any system before it, you can try almost every game before you buy it -- I have avoided many games I might have bought otherwise, had a ball with some that were good but not quite what I wanted, and in the case of Stuntman I had to buy it after I got the demo

unlike everyone else here I know nothing about the iphone

probably the best thing ever, downloaded so many demos to try out, wish they had every game demo though
