PS3 Question

Is there is special cord that I need to buy to hook up my PS3 so I can receive 1080i signal? Just wondering because when I go to the settings it says that I am running it in 480 right now and I know my TV can receive 1080i. I have tried to change the settings but my screen goes blank when I do it and I know that means that it isn't getting that signal. I think I might have hooked it up wrong altough I was able to play it last night.

Thanks,

Nick

you need an HDMI cable...preferabley. oir you could use a component but then have to carry the audio through rca which sucks or opticasl which is expensive.

you can get HDMIs from big box store for 6X the normal price. at about 80 bucks for 4-6ft of cable. or you cansearch online (amazon) and get good cable 6ft for about 14 bucks.
