Qatar??? .. LETS DISCUSS

ok, so everyone is furious about the Qatar being chosen over the US for the 2022 world cup ... now obviously i am just like the rest, and i would rather it have been in the US ... but lets look at what Qatar has to offer ...

first, there bid was amazing ... promising mid-70 degree temperatures on the pitch and in the stadium using solar powered cooling units, while still being outside. not to mention they are changing laws to allow public drinking (which was needed lol). i dunno, as mad as i am about it NOT being in the US, i am excited to see what an endless amount of middle-eastern oil money can buy/build in the next 12 years (not just the stadiums, but also the nightlife and hotels)

thoughts?

edit:
just adding the main concerns for most people ...

1) heat will be in the 100's
2) nothing to do there
3) drinking laws not friendly
4) security issues

That country has more money than they know what to do with. I have some cousins who went there with teaching certificates and they are getting paid 6 figures along with living expenses.

And to be honest with you they are considered low class over there I shit you not. 6 figure dual income here puts you in upper middle class to put that in perspective.
