Question about Blackberry

Wildkat's thread reminded me of this. Does anyone know if Blackberry has any new phones coming out that will be similar to i-phone? I don't really care about all the things that i-Phone does except its internet capabilities. The i-Phone is the only phone I have played with that almost all websites look the same on it as they do on a computer. I had a Blackberry Storm a few years ago and it was terrible but I think the websites worked similar. Then I got a Curve as my company phone and I love everything about it except the internet.

My phone has been eligible for upgrade for a few months now but I don't want to make the wrong choice since I will be stuck with it for awhile. My company uses Verizon but I think they also have an AT&T account but their network sucks. I am in love with the Blackberry setup and would prefer to stay with Blackberry. I dont want to have to learn that touch keyboard but I have a few websites for work that I have to be able to access. So far, the websites work perfect on i-Phone but I also heard the Droid would work too. However, the horror stories I have heard about Droid batteries makes it not even a choice. When I am on the road, I cant have my battery dying 3 times a day.

The Blackberry Torch on AT&T is the closest thing to perfect so far with the touch screen and pullout keyboard, but I tried the website on it and it doesn't work right. Is that just how Blackberry's operating system and some sites will never work or is that something that Blackberry can change and probably will to keep up with the i-phones and Droids? If so, I will wait on it but if not, I think I am stuck getting the Verizon i-Phone Which I don't like because of the keyboard. (if so, I have to wait for the new i-Phone with 4G this summer) I heard Apple will never have a pullout keyboard so I can't wait on that.

Why can't anyone invent the perfect phone? Give me a Blackberry keyboard with the i-Phone capabilities and all is perfect in the world.

Anyone know if there might be something like this coming out in the near future? Thanks -Cat

Yeah I saw that but the Droid has battery problems that I cant even try to deal with until they get it fixed. When I am on the road, I dont always have access to a charger and they are saying that you have to charge Droids like 3 times a day.

my last 2 phones were blackberrys (4 years), went w/ droid x a couple months ago and LOVE it.

I know, I know, it's not what you wanted to hear but I absolutely LOVE it.

I've heard horror stories on the droids batt life but I spent 10 hrs in the sports book @ red rock resort a couple weeks ago and i was on the internet a lot of the time and still had batt life when i left there.

i, too, thought i'd HATE the touch screen...LOVE IT!

just my .02...but pls do yourself a favor and look at the droid x.

Yeah I was sold on Droid because I heard they were amazing but then after hearing about the battery life on Howard Stern, I started doing some research. It was over 95% of all reviews that battery life was a joke, even if you were using your phone hardcore. Something they definitely have to fix or no one will buy them.

what battery problems?

I have not heard of such thing on the droid. If it does, it would be a battery problem and you can get it replaced under warranty.

Have you tried using Opera Mini or Bolt on your Blackberry. Many like them as an alternative to the BB Browser..
