Question about the Posting Rules

If I think one thing, eg. team A has played a strong scedhule. and a different poster sees it differently, how are we to discuss this, to respond to each other without going on to one another's thread? Like yesterday a guy told me he wasn't impressed with Giant wins over philly and atlanta and he said why. He said this on my thread which seemed fine.

I'm not trying to stir up anything. I don't want to get banned. This place is really cool with lots of football knowlege but I want to get the rules straight since I seem to be on thin ice.

Disagreeing with a persons thoughts is not the problem that people have with you, the problem people have with you is how you present yourself and this post just illustrates it perfectly

Lengthy analysis but all wet. Giant win over Philly and Falcons are discounted as you unreasonably diss those two teams in your narrative to support your cowboy selection. Watch the game then see if you can torch the thread. You'll be wanting to.

Its attitude like this when you go into somebodies thread and then come back after the game and gloat is what we don't need or want. Because I am sure you would of come back and congratulated him if the Boys had covered, wouldn't you Here is a little clue, act like you are older than 16 and maybe people might actually respect you a little bit

I believe that is why everybody was upset. That's not a great way to emphasize your point.

Just post your reasons for a pick, without questioning how we choose our picks

This probably belongs in Main Street

But to answer your question, it's ok to disagree with someone. Just support your opinions with facts and refrain from name calling.

just remember winning at gambling sports is a long term proposition

so you agree to dasgree when it comes to a particular game

one thing is discussing a game prior to either party placing a wager

but after a person has made a wager its kinda uncool to tell him hes wrong prior

or rub it in after

the thread title is usually easy to distinguish whether its a pre wager discussion or a post wager type

good luck hues

And I'm certainly not the only capper to play up his good selections. Everyone does that be it wayne root or the guys on the board who post their records.

Question about the Posting Rules
cyhugogreen lets start with this..

Posting threads in the appropriate forums.

Pro Football>> Post your Pro picks or talk it up, anything related to Pro Football

College Football>> Post your college picks or talk it up, anything related to college football.

As above: same rules apply in all other sports..

Main Street>> Stocks, news, entertainment, tv, movies, water cooler talk, etc.

The Basement>> This forum is rated R. Posts not suited for our other forums may be moved here. Guidelines inside.

i mean its self explanatory and pretty simple to figure out.

As for going into other peoples threads- wish them luck or reasons to why you might be against it in a professional-nice way. BUT ALWAYS WISH THEM LUCK IN THE END. It's just good manners and will get you far here at cappersmall.

Beginners tip.

1. Post in the right forum.Nfl in Nfl,Baseball in baseball, ect.
2.Do not go in to someone Else's thread telling them they made the wrong bet.Disscusion is fine but you are rude about it.
3.Don't go back into someones thread that lost and tell them they lost. They know that already.
4.Start 1 thread post your play or info.
5.Don't be an ass
6.Don't go after the mods.
It is very simple.Act like an adult and it is smooth sailing around here.
