Question about public money...

What methods/websites do some of you use to tell which team the public and or money is with? It seems like it isn't an exact science, but I'd like to know some other ways to tell besides just line movement. Also, if any of you know of sites to find out what the line started out at for any given game, that would help me out too. Thanks in advance.
