Question for the board.....

I have been playing with offshore books for about 13 years now and have had both good and bad experiences... I had a local back where i lived in Hot Springs AR. I now live in Houston and decided that i want to find a local here in my area, so I can have both a local and offshore... My question is: Is it good to have both an offshore and a local or just 1 over the other. Also, what's the best way to find a local? I am thinking of going to some good sports bars here. Hell I don't know, maybe i just need to stick with offshore....

Good to have both.. best way to find a local would be at stag parties, sports bars.. ( ask about ncaa tourny auction calcutta's ) tons of locals go to those things.

I think you would be better off just havin 2 or 3 offshores. I've done the bookie thing and it's always a pain in the ass at some point. Go with an offshore with a good reputation and you shouldn't have any problems.

Stuff like the calcutta's are nice to have, but for day to day betting I would stick with the offshores.

have several offshores, for different betting options and differing lines

and one local, for liquidity and convenience reasons

I remember getting some great lines with my local, 3 or 4 points off if he wasn't paying attention.

Blade, I am living in Panama now but if you shoot me an email I can probably help you out with a local in Houston.
