Question for New Yorkers

I had tickets to last nights Mets game which in now good for Friday's game. My buddy and I are taking the NJ Transit to New York Penn Station. Where do we go from Penn Station to Shea Stadium? What subway and how long would it take? Thanks.

Also does a NJ transit train go to Shea directly?

walk--let me start by saying I am not usually a traveler on the trains or subways. That being said--I will try to answer. I do not believe there is an NJ Transit train that will take you to Shea Stadium. They will take you to NY Penn Station and that's it. Once at Penn Station, you will need the train to Flushing. I am pretty certain that it will stop at Shea Stadium--especially with a playoff game. Best bet is to confirm with the ticket clerk/information booth at Penn Station.

Enjoy the game !!

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

When you get to Penn Station walk to the Times Square station which is uptown a few blocks. When you get to Times Square take the 7/S train towards Flushing/Queens. Shea is a stop off of the 7 train.

My buddy and I drove from three and half hours to only get 10 mins from the stadium when they called it. Then I had to drive back to DE. I drove for 8 hours straight through the rain.

Maybe we can meet up to talk Politics tomorrow night

Thanks Keith. I hate to ride the train system, but have no other options b/c traffic in NY on Friday is insane. I can;t leave work that early, so the train will have to do lol.
