My friend, online books are doomed.

Buy tickets to NJ or NV or invest in a local.

My 2 cents...don't hurt the messenger,

i have used click2pay, it works fine, never had a problem..they call you after you register - I used my cell phone as my "land line" - for the US customers I think they require social security number - I forget - I dont think I had to use it...

also some credit cards WILL NOT WORK with them, my mastercard didn't but my visa did (WTF?) lol...either way I haven't had a problem, sometimes their rates blow though (exchange)

I don't want to be rude, but you are wasting everyone's time by posting messages like this. Scott came in here asking if anyone has any experience with click2pay, he didn't ask for your any opinions what-so-ever about what's going to happen to online books.

In regards to the subject at hand, I signed up for click2pay to fund my BetCRIS account, with BetCRIS it was a bet frustrating, because there is a lack of instructions on both ends. I'll explain that in a second.

When I went to sign up for click2pay, you do have to provide your social security number, which is a little unsettling to me, but I don't believe they keep it on file (at least, there is no reason to) after providing your social security number, you have to answer 3 short questions regarding your location and credit history. It's simple stuff like "Which county do you live in?" and you are presented with a list of drop down menus.

After the initial signup process is complete, you have to setup a payment method for your account, I chose to use my Visa card, the first time I attempted to process my card, it was declined. Out of spite, I ran it again and through some miracle it went though.

Be advised that when you first sign up with them, your deposit limit is capped at $100 until you receive a phone call from one of their customer service reps. It was taking too long for someone to call me, so I called them and got things validated. Once your account is validated, you have a deposit limit of $750 at a time if you are using a credit card.

If you're using BetCRIS, be aware that their cashier area does not give an exactly understandable error message when you first try to use click2pay, get on live chat with their customer support and ask to have click2pay activated for your account. They make no mention of doing this on their site, the error message just tells you that the payment method selected is not available.

After the support staff has done their part, log out of your account and log back in, you should be able to use click2pay with BetCRIS afterwards.

After the initial hassle, everything has been perfect for me. So overall, I definitely recommend using them.

Mane, I see that you are considering becoming a bookie. Please let me know what odds you are offering for a futures wager on the above statement because I would like to get down fairly large on "NO".

I think the above post says it all. I doubt the dude's going to take your bet at any price.

Travis,

If a stranger on the street or someone at work asked me about anything related to online books my answer would not change. The paper trail is not worth the risk anymore or right now. The feds are not making things easy so why try any smart stuff when that new "loophole" could be closed tonight?
