Quiting Smoking

Anybody with any good strategies? Im on my second day now, yesterday I smoked 1 cigarette down from about 15-18 per every 24 hours. I didn't like the cigarette but my body was far into a withdrawal and I could tell, so I smoked half a one to calm my body.

Today is really tough but I dont want a cigarette but my body still hurts. Its hard giving up something your body is use to day in and day out. More then half my life I've never gone a handfull of hours without a smoke. I dont want to smoke but every like 12 hours I have to smoke a half of a cigarette so my body stays relaxed.

I slept a shit load today, my friend said it reminded him of when Jenny was detoxing on Forest couch haha

Some people have addicitive personalities, I happen to be one of them. I get addicted to everything both good and bad. Some people can quit smoking no problem but for me its like giving up crack or meth or coke or something. ITs not very easy.

I have some "chantix" but Ive yet to take it, if I can avoid meds I would like to do so at all cost.

Anybody have it really bad when they quit/tried quiting? I want to hear some low downs. Im so disoriented

Smoking 1 cig a day for the first few days is ok right? Considering I dont like the cigarette now?

Try Cinnamon Gum don`t ask it just works.

I too have a addictive personality I smoke 25 Ciggs a day,drink at least
50 Beers a week and don`t get me started with COKE (not the supermarket kind)

Its really hard to stop the things in life that make you. you.
How can you wake up one day and just stop all the bad things, you can`t
its just self control.

Good Luck E wrecked

i am taking chantix now bro and its not bad. Been on for a week and i have already cut down to 1/2 pack a day from one. Plus some of the cigarettes i am smoking i am only smoking half. The urge is almost gone. I start 2 pills tomorrow and that is when the doc said i should really feel the urge to go away.

I'm on my second day cold turkey. Been drinking a lot of pop to try and curve off the cravings.

I did cinnamon gum too. And I guess it helped - made my tongue swell up for some reason though.

I found when a craving hit I would take a deep breath and hold it. Then let a little tiny bit out, hold it, let a little out, hold it, etc. until I was about to pass out, then breath normally. Made the craving go away for about 20 minutes or so, then I'd do it again.

3 days cold turkey for me now and haven't really been feeling the cravings. Just lucky I guess. I smoked half a pack a day for 10 years.
