Not so fast, Chrissy.

OK, I'll bite the bullet and ask the question.

Skippy, are you really gay or is this all just some kind of cruel joke that you are playing on us?

Not that there is anything wrong with that (in my best Blazomatic impersonation)

let me see here...it is a british variant...hmm...britian and english? i do believe the language got it's origin over there...so the first spelling of colour would have been colour...america came about well after the origin of the language...so basically color is a new version of colour...it does say a variant of colour which would make you think colour was changed to the our spelling after color was introduced...keep in mind..webster's dictionary is an american creation

i just checked the oxford dictionary and there isnt an entry for color..type in color and you get colour...seeing oxford has been around a hell of a lot longer than webster's, i feel safe to say that the true word is colour

LOL.....

Is J saying that the word "COLOR" has its origins in America because "COLOUR" is its British variant????

Perhaps ENGLISH is spoken in England and Americanish is spoken in America.

When did the Americans discover England???
