Raindrops

Assuming a constant air temperature, as a raindrop falls, it:

1. warms
2. cools
3. does not change its temperature

Seems to me that air resistance would cause friction and make it warmer.

C if air temp is the same

A raindrop often starts as a snowflake as it leaves the saturated air of its parent cloud. The flake can then melt if it falls into warmer air. As the raindrop continues to fall, it can become cooler through evaporation, but can also increase its temperature if it falls through warmer air. In winter, a snowflake can sometimes melt and then refreeze as sleet as it descends from the clouds. In summer, a raindrop is often significantly cooler than the surface air temperature, providing cool refreshment on a hot summer day.

Very valiant effort....for that, you get half the marks.

Answer: 2. cools

As the drop falls, it slowly evaporates. Evaporation is a cooling process. You experience it when stepping out of the shower.
