Republican Peter King About Michael Jackson

I like this guy for stating what I have felt for the past week and a half

http://www.newsday.com/news/local/po...,5723586.story

Rep. Peter King: Michael Jackson a 'child molester' and 'pervert'

Rep. Peter King Sunday said people clamoring about Michael Jackson's death should just beat it.

The Seaford Republican posted a two-minute YouTube video Sunday blasting the late King of Pop as "some pervert" and blaming political correctness in the media for the wall-to-wall coverage of Jackson's death.

"Let's knock out the psychobabble," King said in the video, which was posted by his campaign. "He was a pervert, a child molester; he was a pedophile. And to be giving this much coverage to him, day in and day out, what does it say about us as a country? I just think we're too politically correct."

Pete King is my local state senator.

While I agree with him in theory, I do believe that, in this country, and especially in the MTV culture, any entertainer who has had the success that Jackson had would be receiving a tremendous amount of press upon his death. So, while I think it has been a bit over the top, I don't quite agree with everything he says. To simply describe Jackson as "a singer who could dance" seems to be a bit of an understatement.

Evan: What? One name? ONE NAME!?!? Who are you? Seal?
Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

Keith as a fellow attorney you should know how dangerous it is to call someone a criminal or accuse them of guilt (especially a child molester, which is about as bad as it gets), without actual proof or a conviction. Obviously, if this was a red neck country singer, no republican would say this. It really quite sad especially since, as had been stated in this thread, that the republicans have more internal indiscretions than they can handle

difference being this post was about somebody who had the balls to say it like it is that the our society has become so screwed up that a week and a half of this guys death is what is being covered 24 hours a day when right now there is a serial killer on the loose and I see 2 minutes of coverage on that, there are two wars going on and I see 3 minutes of coverage on that, there is still the iran situation which up until this was 24 hours coverage I now see 30 seconds on that.

Only political part was that it was a political figure who said but the message is the important thing and he is correct our society is screwed that this is what is being covered 24 hours a day. On a bright note at least it is good to know that people are cashing in on his death by putting their free tickets they won to his memorial up on EBay to cash in on, what a wonderful society we live in
