I dont have a heart so to speak when it comes to a lot of humans...but pets love without question, money, or means...

they just want your time and attention

I give monthly to the organization that has Sarah Mclauglim sings in....

The wife and I have been watching Pit Boss. It is about pitbull rescue. We are going to start sending some money to Linda Blair rescue.

Don`t own a rescue pet, but have all the respect in the world for people who do!

dont have a rescue pet; but do have a 1yr old golden retriever. its a win-win; he gets good quality of life and we get a great friend.

We tried to adopt a rescue dog before, we looked for almost 2 years; and it was harder to adopt a dog than it is to adopt a child. so much paperwork, crazy.

we are now looking to get a rescue dog to keep the golden company and play with him. definitely appreciate what shelters and humane society does. we try to give to ASPCA when we can.

We adopted a little female Jack Russell that was the runt of the litter and is deaf. Not through an organization but someone had just dropped it off at the local vet office.

Wasn't real happy with my wife the first week or so, we already had one dog. However, after two years I don't know what I would do without her. Most lovable, happy dog you will ever see.

Her being deaf is a little more work, but not really bad at all. Follows commands by hand signals better than any dog I ever had that could hear. Trick is just getting her attention so she knows what you want. Name is Derby, but you could call her any name you want, she can't hear!!!

I have a deaf australian shepherd that we got from the pound. Our local paper has pictures of animals at the pound, and my youngest daughter saw the picture in the paper, my wife took her to the pound, and they sent me a picture on my cell phone, followed by a call from daughter "please daddy......" any way we adopted the deaf dog, and she is actaully a perfect pet. As noisy as my house is with 4 kids, being deaf is often a blessing.

Good for you. One of our cats was a rescue, and as much as I love Siamese cats, I would always rescue a pet versus buy one from now on.

My parents just got one - German Shepherd/Boxer mix. They don't know what the father was but think it could have been a Lab mix.
