If Not For Tommy Having Kids At A Young Age He May Have Wrote The Record Books Instead Of Arnie.. When Arnie Went On Tour He And Tommy Played Daily And Tommy Would Beat Him 2 Out Of 3 Times.. At That Time There Was Very Little Money On Tour And Tommy ( Graduated From Psu Where He Is The Only All American In Golf Ever At Psu) Had A Good Paying Job And Decided Not To Go With Arnie And Try To Play On Tour.. After Arnie May It He Offered To Sponsor Tommy But Tommy Had Another Kid In The Oven And Turned Him Down .. As It Ends Up It Was A Huge Misplay As Down The Line Arnie Brought Big Money Into The Pga Tour.. During Tommys Amateur Career He Won The Pa Amateur And Played In The Us Open As A Amateur (actually Was Winning It For A Short Time On Friday) He Had Basement Full Of Trophies.. But His Proudest Feat Was Winning The Match Play Club Championship At His Home Course In Three Different Decades ( Rocco Was In A Couple Of These When He Was Young) He Won It 17 Straight Years Before Taking A Few Years Off To Give The Young Kids A Shot.. Anyone Who Has Played Match Play Before Knows What A Feat This Is Facing High Caliber Golfers ( And His Home Club Had Them).. Tommy Liked To Drink And Was Killed In A Car Crash At 65 He Still Carried A Scratch Handy At 65 At A Hard Course ... Rip Tommy Maybe One Of The Worlds Greatest Golfer.. Arnie Would Bring Ray Floyd To Latrobe In His Prime To Play Tommy And He Never Beat Him.. Rip Tommy..
