Ron Paul in 2012

I hope he wins.

He's locked up my vote for sure. Obey the constitution.

No chance. He's not "right" enough. I like the guy and agree with your vote though. You have to be batshit crazy , a bible thumper and a gay basher to head the republican party.

actually hes too far right, at least economically

his brand of economics only works in a lab, never proven practically

some bright ideas, some kooky

Id vote for him too to be honest, but hes unelectable IMO

doesnt "look" presidential either

Hes almost too smart to be president

A leader has brains and balls, he lacks balls IMO, or at least thats the perception

And perception is reality in politics

King Arthur wasnt as smart as Merlin, but who was subservient to whom?

Anyways a nice thought, it will be fleeting one come November

I like his ideas too.. but also think to the larger public it would be a tough sell..

I think in the end its going to be Mitt Romney who gets the nomination.

If the media backed him at all he could get the nomination.

Seems like everyone at Fox News is pulling for Romney

He would definitely give us a change. I just find him to be very honest. He's not another professional politician (even though he is getting paid to be a congressman) like a Newt Gingrich. A crooked asshole who is all about himself. I feel Romney is the same way.

I vote but nothing changes. May as well vote for someone from CM for President. Write in sponsored by CappersMall. Makes as much sense as any of the others. Nothing changes just different players.

His foreign policy ideas are refreshing. I would vote for this guy in a minute.

The problem is that Paul is a phony. He talks a great game, but when pressed, he admits that none of his programs would ever get past Congress. He has no concept of Foreign Policy. He is an extremeist. The only reason why the GOP does not laugh him out of the Primaries is that they want the ultra right wing to support the GOP candidate. The strategy is quite simple. Show the old goat some respect. Allow him his 15 minutes of fame at the convention. Then just put him out to pasture. He could not even run for re-election to his Congressional seat because he know that he would have been defeated in the GOP Primary. Paul collects the losers in life. He collects all of the people who are unhappy but have no clue as to how to change things. Basically this is mob mentality, as demonstrated by the "Occupy" movement. Just allow them to vent, and when you have had enough, kick them in their worthless tails and flog them back into line. Like most sheep, they will do exactly what they are told to do. The same strategy holds true for Paul supporters. Enjoy your 15 minutes in the spotlight, because in November, you will have three options. Vote for Obama, vote for the GOP nominee, or do not vote at all (which is by far the worst choice you can make).

Ron pauls economics are straight up what we need. His policies are true capitalism and not the foolish Keynesian voodoo economics crony capitalism bs we have now. Dems and reps both screwed things up because of their buying into the misguided Keynesian system. That's the system that history has proven never works.

My former boss Peter schiff was his economic advisor. Google him if you're not familiar. Made most of my money working for him.

And Austrian Economics work where? lol

Theres no true free market, because if there were, China would dominate

they already have an unfair advantage

but we live in a mixed market, which isnt perfect either

most importantly his policies wouldnt get past congress

so you want to talk about nothing getting done?

I can tell 100% that Keynesianism doesn't work. Otherwise 14 trillion worth of "stimulus" would have been plenty. Borrowing money in an attempt to spend your way to prosperity is patently absurd.

Keynesian clowns always claim there needs to be more Stimulus, which is funny since it can never actually work. Stimulus spending fails the broken window fallacy which bastiat showed before Keynes' absurd theories became popular with statist politicians.

Im not a fan of entitlement policy, or statists, or keynesian economics

but it doesnt matter, austrian is too extreme and unproven, isolationaist policy wouldnt work either way

and it doesnt matter much anyway because none of it would get passed

a bunch of fodder, that would never become policy

best thing you can do is manage your own capital and resources

live and let die

He is very interesting.

Do any GOP delegates actually want him to win? I'd have to think it would be a nightmare. But I enjoy the breath of fresh air he provides, and standing tall for what he believes in regardless of how crazy it sounds to the masses
