Rumor Central for Pinnacle

Good morning;

I have been following this board as well as many other boards over the rumors concerning Pinnacle Sports. I urge you not to read in to all the creative stories regarding the exodus from the United States market.

To sum it up and take this information for what it's worth, Pinnacle Sports was not pressured by anyone to make this move. Pinnacle Sports made this move, quite frankly because they have made millions of dollars this football season and wanted out. This was the out. Pinnacle Sports understands there is a fight ahead and the risk from Pinnacle perspective is why get involved. They made enough money and the timing was perfect. They knew how this would be perceived by the gambling industry. They knew the rumors would not include this fact. The frenzy that has went on since the announcement is exactly what they knew would happen. It is this simple.

Pinnacle was NOT at all prepared for this transition, that's a fact! That being said, you'll have to do more than spin a "shaggy dog" story to convince me...

Let me get this straight. This is your first post and your username is Pinny Scoop and your trying to tell us that Pinnacle left the U.S. because they made millions in the NFL this year? Why not just be honest and tell us you think we're stupid?

These books make millions all year, not just on the NFL. That's not the reason they left and you and I both know it.

Sure they were prepared. How else do you explain them paying out 70% of the United States player funds within 2 days when it takes books like betwwts over a month and others never. They want you to not believe this story.

Welcome scoop

The problem is there are a lot of rumors and a lot of speculation. Each day more rumors are circulated. I personally find this one a little harder to believe, not saying it is true or false - but it seems Pinnacle would not have picked this time to do this.

Also why wouldn't they have sold all the US accounts?

Timing makes no sense to me.

One of the largest days for wagering in the entire year comes in 3 weeks.

If you knew this decision was coming why offer AFC champs, NFC champs and Super Bowl winner odds at the beginning of the playoffs to US players only to shut down a week later?

Why create the logistical problems which come with carrying all the futures bets while trying to close all accounts?

I have never, ever heard of a Bookmaker, or anyone else in a related business, say "We've made enough money, time to go count it all." Any idea how much money pinny could have made by striking a deal with another book for the 1st right of transfer of their accounts?

Even if you buy the assumptions made by "pinny scoop", the "perfect timing" would have been to wait until after the Super Bowl. And the "perfect" way to handle it would have been to give their valued US clients a couple of weeks warning.

Something forced this action to be taken at this time. If it was just a good business decision with no time pressure, then it would have been made in early February. Just my humble O.

I guess this is my point. They didn't leave on their own accord. They were forced out because they were implicated in some illegal matters. You don't leave during the middle of the NFL season because you've won some money.
