Run away Toyota

I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra. Best truck I have ver owned. People get in it that drive Chevy's, Fords and Dodges and say its quiet like a car. While I know some people have died, god bless their souls, why are people not putting the cars in neutral? I will tell you why because they panic and they have few driving skills. Toyota is taking a bath by the American Government and they are being targeted because they are not an American automobile maker. I also believe that Toyota is now the new person to set up so you can make money by sueing them. People are looking for anything so they don't have to work. If this was an American company they would not be on the News daily. Perfect time to buy a Toyota we are trading in our Ford 500 and buying the new Camry. Best time in a long time to buy a Toyota. By the way I have owned Fords all my life. This is my first Toyota and now I will not ever buy another American pickup again.

Also own a Tundra. Love it! Will eventually replace it with another Tundra.

BTW, the Tundra basically is American. Mine's built in Indy, mostly of American-made parts. My dad used to tell me I should have bought American, but I pointed out to him that both of his Chevy trucks were built in Mexico.

i just traded in my 03 camry for a 10 RAV4. loved that car and with the 0 interest and they upgraded me to free car washes extended my warranty to 100,000 for free and gave me 4 yrs oil changes instead of the 2yrs how could u pass that up.

I had that car since 03 and the only thing that went on it besides tires and brakes was the timing belt and water pump that cost me nothing to replace as it was under warranty. i only got rid of it because i couldnt pass up on this deal.

Seriously... its not my fault that you think you know everything. Leave your attitude at home your game has gotten old. Its already been shown in demonstrations that you can get the car into neutral. Why would you shut the car off that locks your stearing. push the button into neutral and let the engine blow up. Fraud cases are already being found around the worthless state of california.

By the way BP, stop begging to be a moderator, no need to ruin a good site.

I am in the market for a new vehicle. Looking at an SUV or pickup. I was thinking I should stop by Toyota to take a look at getting a good deal on a Tundra or 4Runner. Was hoping to take advantage of a company in peril. lol.

I had a 4Runner from 92-99. Loved that thing.

How you define an American car is one of the great conundrums of this world,"
said Dutch Mandel, the editor and associate publisher of AutoWeek.

Fewer than half of the parts on some Big Three vehicles are made in the U.S.

Looking at a Ford Fusion? It is assembled in Mexico.

The Chrysler 300C is assembled in Canada,

but its transmission is from Indiana; the brand's V-8 engine is made in Mexico.

Engines in the Chevrolet Equinox sport utility vehicle are from China.

On the other hand, Toyota's Camry is comprised 80 percent of parts made
in the United States, and 56 percent of Toyota's vehicles sold in the U.S.

also are made here, according to Toyota spokeswoman Sona Iliffe-Moon.
The Toyota Sienna and Tundra also have 80 percent of their parts
manufactured in the U.S.
"When you have manufacturers from around the world building in the U.S.
with 85 percent domestic content -- engine, transmission, assembly --
is that an American car?"

Mandel asked. Or, he asks, is it considered foreign
because the profits go back to a foreign country?

"It's truly a global industry," said Thomas Klier, a Chicago, Illinois,
economist who co-authored "Who Really Made Your Car?"
an encyclopedic analysis of the auto industry melting pot.

No matter what I say you will attack me. But then your the smart one. The test was done by our local TV station not Toyota. Toyota recalled vehicles because they want to do the " responsible thing". Pointed out that they had fraud cases popping up because that also was on our local news.

Keep begging for attention and to be a moderator. It past embarrassing about a year ago.
