Sahara to shut its doors

Iconic Sahara hotel and casino closing in Las Vegas - Yahoo! News

Lets face it, the Riviera, Sahara, Frontier, Stardust were all pretty much shitholes in their later days and hadn't been upgraded in years (talk about some bedspreads you didn't want to sit on without a hazmat suit on), but still kind of a bummer to see the iconic hotels shut down and razed one after the other. Last links to the "old vegas" which disappeared in the later 90's IMO.

Next one that needs to go is the Imperial Shithole.

First trip to Vegas about 15 years ago, stayed at the Sahara. Didn't know any better.

Rumors are Wildkat might be single-handly responsible for closing the Sahara. They should have never put in that Big 6 wheel
