Sales People - Lead Program

For those of you in sales, what type of program do you use to follow and track leads??

our company uses SalesForce for our CRM.

logging info, follow up noticifcations, sorting by certain criteria, etc etc

yeah, we use salesforce for that kind of thing.....

you can create leads, have them input for you, set reminders, put notes in...etc...

which version? Is it pretty effective and easy to use/learn/teach

well, my company set ours up so i dont know of different versions....

its pretty easy though. they have tutorials everywhere and there is a full lead section where you can manage everything, set follow - ups, notes, put in customer/prospect info..etc..

a program for sales? you mean you guys in sales actually track and analyze?

i dunno what they use where i am at grainger. they gave me a territory, a book of biz, and all i do is pound the phones and drive business.

u can pretty much just use outlook and hoovers. i dont really know why you need much else than that.

Salegoodce is good but is meant for medium to large business and it can be expensive. But by far the best and most available.

As an alternative look into sugarcrm. Haven't tried it but heard good things.

No need to spend the big bucks on the fancy stuff for simple tracking of leads, calls and followups

Buy ACT! for about $100 or get a free copy download, it's straightforward and simple and gets the job done without any fancy bs that most salespeople won't use anyway

when you get into salesforce and other more intense software, much of the design is for management to see if the team is actually working
