Selectivity and the good old gut feeling play

Selectivity

Is an important weapon in a sports gamblers armoury. I can tell you right now for a fact if say for example I was forced to bet every MLB game or the majority or even 50% of games day in day out I would be very likely to be running at a loss come the end of the season. Everyone has different capping methods, what ever yours is be selective and only bet the one or one's your capping likes alot. Don't be scared to not bet a 24 hour period (or more obviously) If u don't like anything.

Gut feeling play

Do you use this ?

Hard to teach anyone this as it varies from person to person.
Sometimes for myself a play I make will be taken largely on this.
Funny thing for me is, If my gut likes a bet alot I will generally back off.
It is the one's I have alot of doubt over that tend to go best. May be strange but hey If it works use it. Learn to know what works for your gut feeling bets and come the season's end your wallet maybe that little bit fatter.

It's almost like if it seems to good to be true it is. However I like to use my gut when it comes to betting at times. For me - my gut instinct is many times better than a lot of handicapping.

Another good post Dave

Gut feeling is a big part of my capping.I can look at a play without any research and know to stay away or look into it further.

I think the longer someone gambles, the more they rely on their gut feelings and are less likely to "over cap" the games.

"Over capping" is a killer.Sometimes trying to make sense out of a play is a waste of time.

Over capping is probably the most commom mistake made by the most cappers. Especially in Football and basketball. Once the "capping" process changes my opinion on a game. I "drop" the game. If the capping process reassures my opinion on a game then its a "play". This is how I avoid over capping.
