Sevens rugby from Las Vegas is on NBC.....

Sevens rugby from Las Vegas is on NBC, the next couple of days.

If any of you want to see some rugby union, take a look.
Sevens rugby is an abbreviated version of proper rugby.

Anyone has questions about it, fire them my way, its my favorite sport

I obviously realise what very minor sport it is in the US. So anything just ask away. It is growing in the US though.

First question.... Whats the difference between rugby and Ausi rules football?

Thats a big one to answer, as there are alot of differences. Essentially the main difference is in Aussie Rules you are trying to kick the ball through the posts only.

In rugby you are trying to get into the end zone (Like NFL) and also kick goals.
Aussie Rules is only played in Australia, where as rugby is global.

A little bit TL.......... but there are alot of differences. Aussie Rules is a contact sport, you can tackle your opponents. Aussie Rules is much more physical than soccer.

I will go into some detail later when I have some more time, about the major differences between rugby and NFL.

Yeah Gaelic football is the closest thing to Aussie Rules, out of those three sports.

shape of the ball and the pitch are the major differences.
