Yes - 18 regular season games / 2 pre season games

No - Leave it as is

16 and 3 preseason or
17 and 3 preseason.

If you are a wild card team, you could play 22 games in an 18 game season.
All that hitting, injuries would have a major impact.
The body cannot take those extra blows season after season.

They have to drop the preseason games down.
4 games is too much.
Again, the body wouldn't have to take unnecessary hits in a meaningless exhibition.

Too many preseason games - agreed. But still don't mind a 16 game regular season.

20 regular season games
0 preseason games

Not feasible but what I would prefer.

But if not that then 18 and 2

16 games is enough. I can't imagine too many players would be enthusiastic about expanding the season.

Keep it all the same. Don't want to screw up the record books.

Do something to get rid of the mindless pre-season games already. Paying full price to see people trying to make the squad. As for expanding the regular, as mentioned the history books get screwed but that has happened before. Owners want it for more money and players do not because of injuries. They need to find a compromise on the whole ball of wax.

Agree! I might need that extra game to be plus for the season!

leave the regular season schedule alone

I wouldn't be against a one week bye for the entire league (somewhere around week 10) just so people can get healthy before a playoff run

I don't understand what the big deal is about an 18 game season. In the CFL they have been doing 2 pre-season games & 18 regular season games forever.

No player ever complains that the season is too long or they need a break. In actuality, they thrive in it & love the extra games as they love to play. There are no additional injuries and no gripes about it.

I think the NFL players should suck it up & play 18 games, as that is what I would bet is what the majority of fans want.

Just seems to be more & more injuries year after year. Players keep getting bigger & stronger which just adds up to more train wrecks on the field. I think 16 is perfect and I'm a bit of a purest and adding more games would also affect records. Also like the idea of a bye week for the entire league in the middle of the year to rejuvenate everyone. Just feature the two best college games of the week on that Sunday so we don't go through withdrawals! ...And drop preseason down a game to 3. Who wants to see all those clowns in half the games anyway.
