Should the SportsBook hold any responsiblity?

I signed up at BetGuardian yesterday and received their 100% sign up bonus. My player rep also offered me an extra 20% casino bonus but I adamantly declined it and told him to disable my casino. The player rep told me he put the information in his “notes” and would get that taken care for me immediately. I know myself and I have lost well into the 6 figures on online casino’s.

Fast forward 12 hours and I have had a great day. I have swept my baseball plays and have over quadrupled my beginning bankroll. I am feeling great and decide to have an end of the day celebratory drink. Of course as you know, a few drinks turned into A LOT of drinks…

The particulars of the rest of the night are a little foggy due to Jagermeister, but I evidently found my way onto the casino portion of the website at BetGuardian. After all the fog had settled and my mental state had found its way back in the morning, I call into BetGuardian to make a baseball play to find out that my account is sitting at 0 (ZERO, NADA, NILCH). Yea that’s right, I had lost all of my deposit and winnings, just under $2,000 in the casino.

My question to you is this…Does BetGuardian hold any responsibility for my losses after I was told that my casino would be turned off, (disabled) “immediately” upon my deposit into the website. If a player tries to keep himself from “economic suicide” by staying away from his weaknesses and the website tells the customer they will help in assisting in this, and then does nothing, should they be held accountable for said actions. I would have never deposited money into BetGuardian if I would have known that they were not going to disable my casino when I asked them too!

P.S. I reminded them today of the error of them not disabling my casino, they apologized and proceeded to disable it in less than 30 seconds…so it isn’t as if it was a tedious process for them to accomplish.

I am not saying my actions are not to be forgiven fully...

But should the casino's actions also be held accountable...

We both made promises and it seems only one of us is having to stick to theirs...

BTW I wasn't using me being drunk as an excuse...I just know that that is obviously the more obvious time for me to make mistakes such as clicking on the casino in the first place. I made sure I protected myself by having the casino disabled. Just like the wife could delete the cousins number from her phone...

Is there a deadline when you have to sign up for the 100% bonus at BetGuardian, so if i send $1000 they would give me another $1000 right?

it's not too often i agree with romanowski on something, in fact it may be the first time ever but he's exactly right. you should have checked the website when you were done with first call and called back immediately and demanded the casino be disabled.

BetGuardian has a B rating. Never heard of them but i am leery of any book that is not sponsored by any of the big forums.

Tough luck. If you can't stay out of the casino then you should probably find a different hobby.
