Smashing Pumpkins to play first show in 6 1/2 years

Saw them in their heyday, be interesting to see what happens here

First US show in Baltimore, Hopefully Goterps can check it out and give us a review

The reunited Smashing Pumpkins will play their first show in six-and-a-half years May 22 at the Grand Rex Theatre in Paris. European festival appearances will follow through mid-June; the group's first U.S. show will be Aug. 5 in Baltimore as part of the V Festival.

According to a spokesperson, the Billy Corgan-led group will be performing material from its upcoming album, "Zeitgeist," which was originally announced as a July 7 release but has yet to be officially confirmed for that date.

It is also unknown what other musicians are joining Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin in the Pumpkins' live band.

im assuming they will be playing here in Billy's H-town of Chicago.

I had a beer with him once at The Gingerman which is a block from wrigley...dude sitting at the bar and all these 21 year olds are walking right by not even noticing...I stopped in my tracks and bought him a round or two...
