Snakes

Been around many snakes in my life but yesterday I got a scare that took my breath away. Was on the ranch checking water and I ran into a gopher snake that was over 5ft long. I thought I would catch it and take it to the walnut orchard as we have terrible gopher problems. Bent down to pick it up and after grabbing it about in the middle it wrapped all around my arm squeezing fairly tight. I did not want to hurt the snake but it appeared he could careless about me. As I unwound the snake it swung around and bit me in the arm. Yes I have been bitten before but not this bad. As I got the snake under control and in a sack I notice anther snake coming out of the ditch. This snake was different as it was a rattle snake. It coiled up and I moved away. Needless to say this old man doesn't need to be startled like that. Ended up killing the rattler but something tells me this is going to be a bad snake year. Killed 6 last season but never has it started this early. Like snakes but not rattlesnakes.

sob's anyway

only been around the little garter snakes and some bull snakes as I grew up close to a lake- but nothing like that.

I think if a snake bit me, it would not be living, you showed some good constraint.

Where I live, I sometimes to go this place called the Rouge Valley. There alot of walking trails, streams & you will even see deer on the paths. Anyway, once we were walking & we came across what looked to be 2 pretty big snakes. They were wrapped like in the fetal position & needless to say I headed back in the other direction.

I am not a huge fan of snakes & would never want to come across one either.....if I can avoid it lol.

With that said, do any of you who are wrestling fans remember when Randy Savage got bit by Jake Roberts Cobra? I think for the time, that was pretty hardcore.

Not many things scare me, but snakes and bats terrify me.

About ten years I was watching football down in a my basement and the remote was on the floor. I reached for it and a snake brushed up against my hand. You talk about shit ting your pants.

About fifteen years ago I was sleeping in my bed. A fvcking bat landed on my bare back. I thought it was a moth or something and tried to brush it off. Well this bat let out a screech. You talk about moving fast. Wow.
