btw...when you look at it...your precious american football sees right around 11 minutes of total action...11 minutes out of 60 and takes over 3 hrs to play...and people complain about the length of cricket matches

In football there is a chance the offense can score on every play.

Soccer is a snooze fest. And this from a golf fan.

yes...it depends on your defenition of "action"

a group of guys running around in circles accomplishing nothing or players making impact plays on the field consistently

scoring isn't everything...maybe football fans are pessimistic and that is why they enjoy it...and maybe that is why i enjoy it...but also the beauty of the game is the fact that it is hard to score and a score makes it all the more worthwhile...unlike american football where you have teams that score a lot and then is less special because of the frequency...i do like high scoring events...such as some baseball games and some american football games...mainly because one of the pitchers and teams just suck and i want to see them get fuking steamrolled because they suck that bad and should take take measures to prevent it...which they don't...so i want the bloodbath to occur....but most of the time i prefer low scoring games and watching pitchers kill the hitters and the hitters blowing azz

well...how about 49 minutes of walking back to the huddle, in the huddle, go to the line and wait for the ball to snapp, and watching overpaid coaches on the sidelines call in plays? wow...that is some awesome action there
