Society

Is it just me, or is our society on a downward spiral that we can't recover from? We are the most rude, consuming, stupid, selfish country in the world.

People have no respect for each other anymore. People drive like idiots, have no sense of compassion for anybody else, and are all about themselves and what they look like. Lets drive a Hummer that gets 7 miles a gallon even though it will never be driven off of pavement.

I would say that half of the population has no true understanding of how our government works or how many Senate or House seats exist. I would guess that 20% can't even name the vice-president. I don't care which side of the fence you are on, just stand up and be on one side. We can't get 50% of people to show up for an election. People have fought and died for our rights and people could care less.

There are millions of people all over the world starving to death or living under tyranny, and we can't have the decency to say thank you to someone for a simple task or maybe help somebody else out that needs it. The simplest gestures can go a long way but people could give two shits. We have it pretty damn good here, I just wish more people would realize that and live a decent, honest life.

Does anybody else agree or am I just crazy?

In the 60's, 70's and 80's it was a much better life. Things have changed for sure and human values have been thrown out the window.
Bold but bright statement that speaks volumes, " the good OLD days".
